Today in History

Today is Monday, Sept. 11, the 254th day of 2006. There are 111 days left in the year. This is Patriot Day.

Today's Highlight in History:

Five years ago, on Sept. 11, 2001, in the single worst act of terrorism committed on U.S. soil, nearly 3,000 people died when two hijacked jetliners crashed into New York's World Trade Center, causing the twin towers to fall, a commandeered jetliner smashed into the Pentagon and a fourth hijacked plane crashed in western Pennsylvania.

THAT is why we are at war!

THAT is what they want to do again!

Class dismissed!

John,
Point well taken, but I choose to not go to class. Those that remember history are DESTINED to repeat it. Blessings,
Kenn

Kenn,
You have really got to get your head on straight and start thinking again. Just saying the opposite of something does not make it somehow true or deep.

We learn in order to AVOID the mistakes of the past. Our DESTINY lies in what we are able to learn.

Even if you think our path is predestined, a loving God would flatter our EGOs by permitting us to learn His lessons in order to make His choices.

Either way, We must learn from history to AVOID obvious pitfalls.

Unless, of course, it makes you happier to tune out. Then, from the terrorist's point of view -- that just makes you a TARGET.
